How to Reach Different Regions on TikTok?

If you are looking for a way to reach an audience outside of your region, this article might help you. There are a few reasons why you would like to reach other regions, there are a lot of different reasons, for example, if you are a content creator and you find that your region might just be not what you need and you are stuck with it with no ability to reach other regions unless you are lucky enough to get viral, or post for a long period of time using hashtags, but at the end, you end up spending time and not getting results you oped for just because your regionmight is not the right audience for you.

Things You Need To Change TikTok Location To USA
- Order a SIM card of the Region you want to get access to
- Choose a reliable VPN provider.
- Use Dual Sim phone or spare mobile phone if you have
- If you are using Dual SIM phone, always use new SIM card for new region.
- Download and install the VPN
- Connect to a server in the location matching our new SIM card
- Make sure your VPN connection is active
- Intall e TikTok application and create new account
- Use yout new SIM card number to sign up
- Enjoy
Can TikTok detect and track your location?
The simple answer to this question is Yes, TikTok does track your location from the moment you installed and signed up for the app on your phone. Your account is then publicly available to all other users from that point onwards
Things You Need To Change TikTok Location To Another Location
This piece shares a step-by-step guide on how I changed the location on the TikTok app so that my content would reach more engagement from a different region audience. The first steps are easy but you will need to jump through some hoops, but it's worth it in the end.

1. Order a SIM card from the region you want to get access
In my case, I wanted to get access to the USA and I’m currently residing in Ireland. After some research, I found on USA sim card on Amazon, ordered it and I received it in a few days.
I ordered an ULTRA MOBILE SIM card, I will add below the links from Amazon for the most popular choices, you can also check and research for other PREPAID SIM cards, but in my case, I decided to go with ULTRA MOBILE.
Notice that you will need to have your phone unlocked ( if it’s locked by your mobile network you won’t be able to use another SIM card from a different network provider ) If you have a dual sim mobile phone, don’t forget to switch the network when you are using TikTok, or in my case just use another phone just for TikTok.
Few links for the USA SIM card, if you need SIM cards for other countries, please do your own research.
Please don’t skip the SIM card step because you will need it to make this work. Since I ordered ULTRA MOBILE activation was super simple for me, I followed the instructions on the website and had my number ready in less than 5 minutes.
When you receive your card and activated it, for the activation please follow the steps for the card you ordered) they are different for the providers, you can read the instructions on the product listing before you order the card.
On the image below is my ULTRA MOBILE dashboard, and I can always get access to the information, no matter where I am.
2. Factory Reset Your Mobile Phone
This step worked for me because I used an old mobile phone and I wanted a clean install, if you use a dual sim option, you will need to uninstall TikTok and disable the Location before you install TikTok again.
3. Disable Location Tracking on Your Mobile Phone
After the reset, navigate to your phone settings and find where it says Location, and turn it off, don’t worry it won’t mess up with any other app.
4. Install a good VPN on Your Mobile Phone
This is also really important, even though a VPN on its own won’t do anything to change your location, no matter what others said, using a VPN without a new SIM card is useless.
In my case, I used Surfshark ( they have a 7-day free trial ) because that’s the VPN I already use for 2 years and I also have it installed on my Windows PC and on my other phone, and Surfshark has Unlimited devices option, so you can use it on any device you have there are no limits.
Another good VPN I can recommend is PureVPN, whatever you choose just make sure it fits your needs, and that it has a mobile app because you will need to install a VPN on your phone.
Installing VPN is the first step, do not install TikTok before this step, it’s very important.
When you install the VPN, please choose the country matching the SIM you ordered, in my case I chose USA New York, and in the VPN settings I chose that that area is connected as default, before you log in to TikTok later on always check that you are connected to the chosen area, with Surfshark and PureVPN you set this as default without the need to manually adjust it every time
5. Install TikTok
Before you continue to this step, make sure you have your SIM card activated in your phone, and make sure you have VPN turned on also in the region matching your SIM card
Install TikTok from Google or Apple store, you will need to create a new account, do not log in on your old account, since it already has your preferences from the first time you installed it, this will work only for NEW ACCOUNT, if you wanted to use your old account, using your old account won’t change anything.
When you create your new account use the number you got with your new SIM card, you can, later on, add an email account, but this account will be bound to the new SIM card number, so I would suggest writing it down or add on phone as a contact so you always have access to your number.
Now you are ready to use TikTok and get ready to reach out to a bigger audience and explore the new region area.
How To Reach a US Audience On TikTok ( Longer Ways)
Most people might not know that on TikTok when you download the app and sign up you are seeing TikToks from your region, and if you post a video people from your region will be able to see it, but it’s very hard for a beginner to reach bigger audience unless you become viral.
Here are other ways to reach an audience in different regions on TikTok, though it won’t happen overnight. These are great ways to subtly alter your content's algorithm to target different countries. It may take time for people in other regions to see your content, but this will happen as you get more and more shares & likes from the audiences, but it's still not a guarantee that your content in the near future will be accessible to other regions, or can be seen on #fyp
Change your account language to EnglishUse English hashtags. For instance, if you’re from Germany and want to attract followers from the United States, you should include hashtags written in English.Create on-video text and captions in the language you intend to use.If you talk in your TikTok videos, do it in the language you know want your audience to relate to and understand.Although this method requires time, it is worth the effort. The level of success of this method in my guide far outweighs the time investment.
Changing language on TikTok to access other region content.
This solution is for users who only wish to access content from a foreign country. TikTok is the world’s largest video-sharing app. It has been banned in a number of countries due to its popularity with young people who are using it to share inappropriate content. However, this solution is for users who only wish to access content from a foreign country. Yet, it isn’t suitable for users who live in countries that have banned TikTok.
In short words: If you live in Germany but you want to see content from the USA, changing your language and adding English to your preferences will give you access to the content in other languages than German.
