The profile picture and profile banner are two of the most prominent features of your profile. Whether it’s a favorite picture of yours or dedicated branding that you want to use, these images will be one of the first impressions you make on viewers.

There are few ways how you can edit your profile channel art

To add or change your channel art first login on Twitch and click on your profile icon on the right side at the top and select Settings from the dropdown menu.

On the Settings page, you can add your profile image and you can add your profile banner.

Notice that Profile Picture

Must be JPEG, PNG, or GIF and cannot exceed 10MB.

Profile Banner

File format: JPEG, PNG, GIF (recommended 1200×480, max 10MB)

Twitch recommends 1200×480 but with testing the best resolution and size we offer 1920×480 profile banners that will perfectly match the visible area and your channel art

Blue areas represent visible parts on your profile banner, you should focus on adding logo/brand assets on sides and your social names or important information on top or bottom of the profile banner.

You can also change your profile banner and other settings by going to Channel Settings or you can click on your icon on the right side at the top and select Settings from the dropdown menu and when Setting open click on the Channel and Videos on the top menu bar

Here you can add your Profile Picture and you can use a Generated Background if you don’t have a custom banner.

You can highlight your personal brand around Twitch by choosing an accent color and uploading a Video Player Banner, which will appear when your channel is offline.

The Profile Accent Color that you choose will be used to highlight your content on Twitch and be displayed on your channel’s elements.

Scenes are the core of your stream look, well designs also but you need to put designs somewhere right?

In scenes you can set up your stream layout, images, videos, labels, alerts, games, webcams, and any other devices or media that you want in the output.

Download OBS Studio here

You can create all kinds of scenes using our Premade designs.

Set up scenes as you like on your own or use our Premade scene already created for you for SLOBS and StreamElements.

Our mission is to give you unlimited options for editing and using our designs.

Move elements, change text, add icons, change backgrounds, and much more…

Creating Scenes

If you want to create Scenes on your own and adjust all images/videos/elements to your likeliness first step would be to create scenes and name them

Click on the “+” and add Scene, name it to what you have in mind creating, Start Scene, Be right Back, Intermission etc..

Obs Name Your Scene
Add Scene In Obs
Add Image Source

Creating manually all scenes depends on what elements you want to add to the scene.

Images, Video, Text or browser link ( alerts from StreamElements or Streamlabs)

Add Image by clicking on the “+” in the Source tab and picking “Image” from the menu list.

Name your image and click “Ok”

Add Video Source

Add Video ( Mp4, Mov, WebM) by clicking on the “+” in the Source tab and picking “Media Source” from the menu list.

Find your video file in the folder and click “Ok” to add it

If you are adding animation that is looping meaning you want it to play constantly don’t forget to check “Loop” in the settings.

Add Text Source

Click on the “+” in the Source menu and choose “Text (GDI+)

In the small new window that opens name your text or add Existing text, you already create ( using existing text is a useful option if you just want to use the same text on different scenes)

Create new text, name it and click Ok to move on next step, in the next settings window you will need to find the font you want to use, click on the “Select font” button, and type the font you want to use.

You can select size and other font settings like font style, effects, and size.

The next step is selecting font color, alignment, outline, etc.. you can just go over settings and see what style you prefer.

Add alerts and overlays

If you are using StreamElements or Streamlabs for your Alert notification, the best way to add those events in the OBS is by clicking on the  “+” and selecting “Browser ” from the menu and here you add a link you got from StreamElements or Streamlabs

To understand more about how to those streaming platforms please follow this guides:

StreamElements Overlays / Alerts

—> StreamElements Manual Setup

Streamlabs Alerts

—> Setting up alerts with Streamlabs

Scenes Import

Unfortunately, currently, we don’t have one-click import option for OBS Studio.

But there are some quick workarounds you can use if you want to get all our premade scenes in your OBS

You would need Streamlabs OBS  SLOBS (since we do provide one-click setup for the SLOBS for most of our designs, please check on the product description does it include import overlay)

You can check this link to understand more about how to use the SLOBS import option

Import Streamlabs SLOBS Overlay file

Once you imported all scenes in the SLOBS you can open OBS/OBS.Live and in the top menu go to the ” Scene Collections”

Click on the “Import” and a new small window will open with the Detected Application click on the check box near the Name of the scenes you want to import and click on the Import.

Now go back to the “Scene Collection and in the dropdown menu you will see scenes that you imported just click on it and it will load for you.

To understand more about how to those streaming platforms please follow this guides:

Setting up Widgets is pretty easy, but it does requiresome manual adjustments.

If you want to add manually all widgets, we recommend having all settings in the notepad.

Click on the “+” circle button and move to Labels, where you need to choose which label you want to have.

For example, if you want Latest Subscriber you navigate to the Subscribers–>Latest–>Latest Subscriber

You can now edit text by choosing a font, color, size, positioning, etc…

Remember if you want to have the same settings for other widgets you need to remember or type in notepad those values.

Currently, there is no bulk edit available you will need to edit each widget.

Streamelements Widgets

When you are finished with all edits and testing and you are ready to go live, you can follow these steps.

Be sure to save your overlay by clicking SAVE on the bottom left.

On the top left menu click on the icon that represents the link icon.

You can also click on preview if you want to see how your overlay looks.

Notice that if you are creating an alert box it will be an empty overlay, you need to click on the emulate to see the alert box alerts.

Streamelements Copy The Overlay Link

When you click on it it will copy the link to the overlay,

Open OBS Studio or OBS.Live (if you are using SLOBS you might have some problems cause they do not support StreamElements browser sources always so we can’t say it will work for you 100%)

Click Add, then click Browser and name it something like, “Stream Alerts”.

Now paste the URL ( Ctrl+v) that you got from your overlay.

Adjust the Width, Height, and FPS to your liking, and make sure to check, Shutdown source when not visible”.

Setting Up Alert Box

Click OK, and now you’ll have your overlay added to OBS. You can move and resize the browser source around to place it wherever you want the alerts to show up on your stream.
